STIMS Rebrands: Southern Touring IMCA Modified Series Launches New Era of Growth

The South Texas IMCA Modified Series is proud to announce its new name and expanded vision: Southern Touring IMCA Modified Series. The acronym STIMS remains, but the name now reflects a broader reach and a bigger future. This change honors the series’ roots in South Texas while signaling its growth across Texas and the Southern United States, as STIMS prepares to partner with more tracks and bring its racer first model to new communities.
STIMS has built its reputation on consistency, fairness, and hands on leadership. With clear rules, dependable payouts, and a team that listens, the series has become a trusted home for IMCA Modified racers. The 2025 season was a turning point, with packed pits, passionate fans, and unforgettable moments at Cotton Bowl Speedway, I-37 Speedway, Texana Raceway Park, South Texas Race Ranch and Heart O Texas Speedway. OctoberFAST served as a fitting finale, crowning champions, celebrating first wins, and honoring the heart of modified racing. STIMS isn’t just about running events, it’s about building relationships and creating a platform where racers can thrive.
Looking ahead to 2026, the STIMS team is actively working on the upcoming schedule. Dates have not yet been finalized, and that’s intentional. With many moving parts across the region, the team is taking time to build a balanced, racer friendly calendar that works to avoid conflicts, respects travel demands and maximizes opportunity. Tracks interested in hosting a STIMS event are encouraged to reach out now, as the series expands its footprint and prepares for a new season of competition.
STIMS is also opening the door to new sponsorship opportunities. As the series grows, it invites businesses and partners to grow with it.
