Texana Two Step Race Weekend Information!
Texana Raceway Park…it’s almost time to kick off another unforgettable season. As a matter of fact, it will be Texana’s 40th year in existence, and next weekend is going to set the tone in a big way! We’re proud to share the full order of events for our double header weekend with STIMS, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome them in for our season opener!
Friday will be a non-points night with no go karts running.
Saturday will be a double points night with all regular classes and go karts.
As we head into the new year, we want everyone to know exactly how the go kart program will run on Saturdays moving forward. Kart hot laps will be at 4:15 pm, kart heat races at 4:30 pm, and then a 20 minute max break before the kart features. To keep the night on schedule and make sure we finish kart features before the drivers meeting for the big cars, the go kart mains will to begin no later than 5:15 pm. As we move through the season and if we find the start time can be moved back a bit for karts, we will adjust that and post accordingly. These decisions will make some folks happy, but not everyone, and we do understand that. Nevertheless, karts will be ran before the big car program. We appreciate everyone’s understanding.
Next weekend is going to be packed with action, energy, and the kind of racing that reminds us why we love this sport! STIMS is coming in strong for their first race of the year, and we’re ready to kick this off in a major way! Make sure you get those cars ready, and get your teams fired up. We can’t wait to see everyone at Texana Raceway Park!
You are welcome to camp in the pits if you would like, but there are no amenities or hook ups available.
